1:30 - 3pm | listen & flow
Listen & Flow is in-the-moment narrative writing about our lives, in an open, non-critical space. Here we're going for honest, not perfect. We don't plan or force our words. We don’t even try to write well! Instead, we listen to each prompt and use our pens to explore, fall off the deep end, zip from subject to subject, and just be real. After each writing session, we read aloud, and we all offer our quiet thanks.
Listen & Flow opens us up. When we write and read together in small groups like these, we remember we're all human, managing complicated stuff. This unique experience is as much about storytelling as it is about unity. Listen & Flow is for writers of all experience levels. If you don't write much, or if you've been writing for years, you're welcome here. The main things you need for Listen & Flow: curiosity and openness.
$35. Limit 5 writers (minimum 3). Sliding scale rates available. Please note cancellation policy below. Contact Traci to RSVP.

Listen & Flow is on-the-spot memoir writing in a friendly space. Our main goal is honesty, so we don't worry about writing well. Instead, we show up as we are, and let go. Writing prompts are the "doorways" we use to enter our stories. Sincere thank yous replace critique or commentary. Week after week, this unique practice fosters friendship, healing and the richest writing around. Light refreshments will be served.
For women writers. Limit 6. Multiple class packages are available for $25 per class. Single classes: $30. Classes are held near Ina and Oracle.

Please send me your 'yes' RSVP by 12pm on Sundays.
If at least two writers are registered for the event, we'll write. Otherwise, I'll postpone until the next Tuesday.

Payments for packages or single classes can be made by cash/check/PayPal at any event. Admin/location details will be sent to you after you RSVP. Please look for a note from me (might be stuck in a spam folder).

Savaya's location is a little tricky to find! It's located within the La Encantada Homes complex, which is north of 1st Avenue and southwest of Rams Field Pass. If you're driving northeast on Oracle, make a u-turn when you're even with Rams Field Pass. Turn into the furthest right turn lane so you're driving southwest in this lane along Oracle. Cruise for about a block and take your first right. Look for the green Savaya sandwich board sign at the curb. Contact me if you'd like me to walk you through the directions. Event Details
The day will be about... relaxing outside with our writing and new friends. We'll experiment with exercises in personal, self-reflective and creative writing. There will be periods for reading our writing aloud and also for discussing our thoughts and insights about writing, creativity, nature and whatever else comes up for us when we're in the garden.
Slow time. We'll take a silent walk in the outdoor space. We'll have a quiet hour or so to write, paint, snooze or whatever. On breaks you’re free to wander the area and chill out in whatever way you wish.
Lunch and refreshments. Light snacks, coffee, tea, filtered water and juices will be available throughout the day. You will want to bring a sack lunch to enjoy picnic-style in the garden.
Weather. Because temperatures vary, we may work in the garden for part of the time, and inside the house for the rest of the time. Writers are welcome to write where they feel most comfortable.
