Classes, Workshops and Retreats Held in Northwest Tucson
The ideal group size for shorter classes (2-3 hours) is five to eight participants, but classes with fewer writers can also be a treat! More writers allow us more opportunities to learn from each other. I will contact you in advance of the class if you are the only one registered. I'll also give you the option to withdraw from the class (and receive a refund or credit toward a future event) if you'd prefer a class with more students. Please note that classes offered through Pima County Natural Resources Parks & Recreation (events at the Pima Art Center or Ellie Towne Community Center) must charge a service fee to transfer or cancel your registration from a class.
For retreats or workshops longer than 4+ hours, I like to work with four to eight writers. If less than two writers confirm for a longer retreat/workshop three days before the event begins, I will likely postpone the event. I'll offer to hold your payment toward a future event, or return the payment, depending on your preference.
Notes about Writing Coaching and Editorial Services
Writing coaching sessions are paid in advance (via PayPal invoice or check) at least 24 hours before the meeting begins. If you need to cancel or change the date of your session, please email me within 48 hours before the start time of your call so we can reschedule. Thank you.
For all other editorial services, I'll request a writing sample and/or discuss your needs with you in our complimentary telephone consultation. I'll then create a proposal that includes pricing and turnaround time for your project. Usually a payment of 50% of the bill will be due before the project begins. The balance is due when the project is complete.
Payments + Cancellation and Refund Guidelines for Northwest Tucson or Zoom Events
Payments can be made by cash, check or credit card. If you prefer to make a credit card payment, I will send you an invoice via PayPal.
You may cancel your event registration up to one week prior to the start date and receive a full refund. Just let me know about your change of plans.
I offer a full refund to any writer who feels she/he did not benefit from attending an event. Please contact me with your concerns.
If I need to cancel an event for any reason, I'll let you know immediately and offer you a full refund, or the option to use the payment toward a future event.
