Class Notes
My ideal class size for short classes (1.5-2 hrs) is four to six writers, but classes with fewer writers can also be a treat! I will contact you in advance of the class if you are the only one registered. I'll also give you the option to withdraw from the class (and receive a refund or credit toward a future event) if you'd prefer a class with more students.
For retreats or longer workshops, if less than two writers confirm three days before the event, I will likely postpone. I'll offer to hold your payment toward a future event, or return the payment, depending on your preference.
Notes about Writing Coaching and Editorial Services
Writing coaching sessions are paid in advance (via PayPal invoice or check) at least 24 hours before the meeting begins. If you need to cancel or change the date of your session, please email me within 48 hours before the start time of your call so we can reschedule. Thank you.
For all other editorial services, I'll request a writing sample and/or discuss your needs with you in our complimentary telephone consultation. I'll then create a proposal that includes pricing and turnaround time for your project. Usually a payment of 50% of the bill will be due before the project begins. The balance is due when the project is complete.
Payments, Cancellations and Refund Guidelines
Payments can be made by cash, check or credit card. If you prefer to make a credit card payment, I will be happy to email you an invoice via PayPal.
Cancellation policy. If you discover you're are unable to attend a scheduled class or coaching session, please contact me at least 24 hours before the start time of the class/session. This insures you can use your payment toward another class/session. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the start time of the class/session, your payment cannot be refunded.
Coaching session start times. On the day of your scheduled coaching session, if you discover you'll be late, please let me know as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I would be unable to extend the session duration to accommodate your late arrival. For example, if you arrive at 10:15 for your 10am (hour-long) coaching session, you receive 45 minutes of coaching for the price of one hour.
I offer a full refund to any writer who does not benefit from a class or coaching service. Please contact me if you'd like to talk about it.
If I need to cancel an event or session for any reason, I'll let you know immediately and offer you a full refund, or the option to use the payment toward a future event/session.
